People & Places

art class bundle

Welcome to the People & Places Bundle, a two-in-one art class designed to help you bring both characters and cityscapes to life with charm and personality. This bundle includes two classes: “Illustrative People” and “Urbanscapes: Illustrated Travel,” at a special bundled price.

Here’s What You Can Expect in Class

Illustrated people with me in this art class and learn how to draw people, stylize faces and fashion figures

In Illustrative People, you’ll learn to draw simplified mini people, stylized faces, expressive portraits, and full-body illustrations with guided practice. Step-by-step guidelines and proportional techniques will give you the confidence to develop your own unique style.

In Urbanscapes: Illustrated Travel, you’ll reimagine urban spaces by exploring the art of capturing city streets, cozy cafés, and architectural details—without getting caught up in perfect perspective. Instead, you’ll learn to simplify buildings, experiment with warped perspective, and create urban sketches full of energy and character.

What my students are saying…

Susan P.

“I finally finished the class and learned so much. I hope you can see that in my work and the final project. You really helped me with proportion. I used all the techniques and it pushed me and helped so much. I want to thank you for offering this class. I loved the format and how I could take each lesson at my pace.”

Britt

“I never imagined myself as a portrait artist. I found joy in capturing urban landscapes with colored pencils and watercolor. Adding people to the scene always seemed like a distant dream, but my attempt always fell short. Then I discovered your Workshop. It’s not just well-structured, it’s a treasure trove of tricks and tricks that have made painting people both easy and incredible fun. I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned and accomplished in just three weeks. Elaine, a thousand thanks for your passion and dedication. Your workshop has truly transformed my artistic journey! ”

Julie T.

“Thank you! Your class did remove a big creative block I had with people.”

Megan

“I just finished lesson 3 yesterday and I have to tell you I am so excited!!! Something just clicked in my brain in a way it never has before! It’s like I can see things in a totally different way! I appreciate you so much! You are truly a gifted teacher! Can’t wait to finish the whole set!”

Abhiri

“I want to express my sincere appreciation for your Urbanscapes class. Your approach to urban illustrations is truly refreshing and inspiring. I really like how you have designed the course to emphasize creativity and personal style over rigid technical perfection… ”

Ichiyo

“The most important thing I learned is to simplify what I draw. This is a very difficult task for me, but it was explained in a way that was easy to understand in this class. The technique of deliberately distorting the point of view, the use of color, and bold composition, I definitely want to incorporate these into my paintings in the future.”
